Journey through the shattered mind of Maya, whose grasp on reality fades as she processes memories of her best friend. The entirety of this film was made by just Isabel and me over the course of 4 months as our Senior Capstone film. It is our most ambitious and daring project yet featuring a complex, personal story, child actors, and heavy use of special and practical effects. For this film, I was awarded the Rice Visual and Dramatic Arts Excellence Award in Film and Photography. RELEASED: April 2022

This bizzare, very short experimental film was my first developed using 16mm film. We shot the footage, developed it in a dark room, and then initially edited the film strips directly before digitally editing it and adding sound. RELEASED: March 2022

Follow activists at Rice University as they take a stand against the university administration for allowing a statue of a slaveholder to remain in place. For this project, we collaborated with student activist groups and recorded dozens of hours of footage, in addition to performing many hours of independent research. RELEASED: January 2022

The story behind Yoyo's Hotdogs, Houston's most beloved and legendary hot dog chain. For this project, we collaborated with Yoyo's Hotdogs founder Danny "Yoyo" Kim to produce a documentary on the history of the business, the personalities behind its owners, and our own personal experiences with them. We worked with Yoyo's Hotdogs over the period of 4 months to create this film.

Axel Ladimer, dictator of the fictitious nation East Slogovia, has decided to determine his successor to the throne through the most unconventional means: a series of game show style competitions broadcasted on live TV! Made as the final film for my junior year filmmaking class, I did it all with this project: writing, acting, directing, and editing! It was an absolute blast to make. RELEASED: April 2021
